First doctorate degrees for ResNetNPND students

ResNet NPND cordially congratulates its two first doctorates!
With Julia B. Althaus (Institute of Pharmaceutical Biology and Phytochemistry, University of Münster) and Mariana N. Vieira (Institute of Food Chemistry, Technical University of Braunschweig), the first two doctorate students working fully within ResNet NPND have obtained their degrees of Dr. rer. nat.

Julia Althaus worked in the group of Thomas J. Schmidt on "Natural Products with antiprotozoal activity: Alkamides of selected Asteraceae and Triterpene Alkaloids of Buxus sempervirens L." and successfully defended her thesis on October 22. Mariana Neves Vieira supervised by ResNet member Gerold Jerz defended her thesis titled "Studies on the Use of Countercurrent Chromatography for the Preparative Isolation and Identification of Natural Compounds Active against Neglected Tropical Diseases“ on October 23.
